Buster Posey, the fifth overall draft pick from Florida State, was announced as the winner of the 2008 USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Wednesday. The honor given to the Giants' prospective catcher, who led the NCAA in BA (.472), OBP (.572) and slugging (.908), is given to the nation's best amateur baseball player.
