Despite losing the fan vote (likely because of the tacky slogan - "Do the Wright Thing, Vote David" - come on New York PR staff, you're better than that), David Wright will go to the Bronx for this year's All-Star game after all. The Mets' 3B, despite a sub-par season by his standards (especially when hitting below .300), will replace Alfonso Soriano, who is out until August because of a hand injury. This is the third consecutive All-Star appearance for Wright, who's hitting .288 with 17 HRs and 70 RBIs this season.
