Vernon Wells was placed on the DL Thursday, and will miss 4-6 weeks with a Grade 2 seperation of his left hamstring. The injury occured when the Toronto centerfielder was trying to steal third base in Wednesday night's game. Wells was removed from the lineup with what the Blue Jays initially called leg cramps, which, with today's news, is obviously an outright lie. Taking Wells' place in CF Thursday was Alex Rios, but rumor has it that Toronto is preparing to call up Travis Snider, who has played well in Double-A this season. Snider would then get the majority of the playing time in Wells' absence.
