Moises Alou's season - and possibly career - is over after Omar Minaya announced Thursday that the 42-year-old will undergo season-ending surgery on his torn left hamstring.  Alou injured the muscle during a minor league rehab assignment, which he was playing in in the attempt to return to the Mets' outfield after a series of calf injuries.  The biggest name floating around the league, (and now with Alou's injury and Ryan Church also out for an extended period of time - the Mets), is Barry Bonds. Only time will tell if Omar Minaya becomes desperate enough to change his stance on bringing in the slugger from his current position of 'absolutely not.'

You probably had your ribs cut out like Marilyn Manson and were servicing to yourself.

But, to make this a baseball post, the only good thing about Alou's career being over is that we don't have to hear about this Bartman garbage once the hand-pisser disappears.

Hello Fellow TBL Readers

By: JasonCaffeysKids on Friday, 11 July 2008

I sent Jason a link to this story hardballreport.com wrote last night, and then he, in turn, wrote that Alou had a groin injury on the AM roundup.

This is wrong - he has a torn hamstring - but entirely my fault. I was getting fellatio, writing the e-mail to TBL and looking at pictures of Tara Reid's stomach simultaneously.

So I was in a bad state of mind.
