After losing out on both CC Sabathia and Rich Harden, the Phillies are left to the scraps of the starting pitching market.  And while the arms available aren't as terrible as that previous sentence might seem, they aren't anywhere near what the Cubs and Brewers acquired.  The rumored names that Philadelphia is interested in includes the ever-diminishing stock of Seattle's Erik Bedard and Toronto's desperate-to-get-out-of-town #2, A.J. Burnett. Even if the Phillies were to acquire one of these two quality arms, many believe that a combination of Hamels, Moyer and Burnett/Bedard won't be able to compete with the pitching staffs of the Brewers, Cubs, Diamondbacks or even the Mets.  The wild card in all of this, of course, is Brett Myers, who could very well control the fate of the Phillies.
