Six and a half years, that's how long it took the Florida Marlins to call catching prospect John Baker up from the Minor Leagues. Unfortunately for the Marlins, the call was made after Matt Treanor sustained a hip injury. Nevertheless, Baker is a solid hitter and appears ready to take advantage of his opportunity.
