No, he didn’t go to a court house and change his name to something psychedelic like Rainbow or Apple. He had the team request that the media drop the periods out of the initials for his first name. So, from now on C.C. Sabathia will be CC Sabathia. Oh, and if you’re wondering what the CC stands for, it’s Carsten Charles.
