Jeff Suppan was placed on the disabled list Monday, and his spot in the rotation will be filled by the newly acquired C.C. Sabathia. Suppan is 5-6 this season with a 4.71 ERA, but even though his numbers aren't spectacular, the Brewers figure to place him back in their rotation when he returns from joint irritation in his right elbow, because of his contract and big-game ability (see Suppan's 2006's World Series with the Cardinals).
