The Yankees placed Johnny Damon on the DL for the first time in the All-Star's 13 1/2-year career Sunday. Damon, who has been the Yankees' most consistent hitter - along with Jason Giambi - as well as a fantasy stud this season, was injured in Friday's game when he crashed into the wall, spraining and bruising his left shoulder.
