David Ortiz took a large step on the road back to the Red Sox Wednesday when, for the first time since his injury, he faced live pitching. In the attempt to ease the stress on his left wrist, Ortiz only hit soft tosses, meaning that he's still a long ways away from returning to the lineup. But it's good news for the Red Sox nonetheless.
