Mark Mulder was activated from the 15-day DL by the Cardinals and placed in the bullpen Friday, where he will be making his first relief appearance when his back loosens up. But given his numbers in the minors - a .338 BA allowed coupled with a 6.55 ERA - it doesn't appear that Mulder has an chance for success with St Louis.
