Jeff Samardzija made a quality start in his Triple-A debut Tuesday night, but still lost the game. He gave up seven hits, two hits and three runs against Albuquerque, and although he pitched well, his promotion to Iowa was a bit confusing. Samardzija was 3-5 in Double-A with a 4.80 ERA and almost 1-1 K/BB ratio.
