Even though it took longer than the 15 days he gaurenteed it would take, Eric Byrnes returned from the disabled list Monday night against the Red Sox. The Diamondbacks optioned Alex Romero to Triple-A to make room for Byrnes. The Arizona LF missed 25 games with tears in both hamstrings, but figures to struggle in his return to the big leagues after only getting one hit in 12 ABs in the D-Backs' Single-A affiliate. From a fantasy perspective, it would be wise to hold Byrnes out of your lineup until he proves that he is fully healed (and starts stealing bases) and able to hit better than the .219/6/23 he was hitting before being placed on the DL.
