Francisco Liriano's quest to return to the major leagues took a detour Friday night, when he allowed nine hits and five runs over five innings. But the good thing for Liriano is that he had excellent control, walking only one, while striking out seven.  Expect more updates on Liriano's progress in this space in the coming weeks.
