only 13 major league ball parks have names that arent attached to a company name. being from washington, i know i've seen the now verizon center's name changed many times, from mci to mci worldcom to verizon. i miss names like three rivers stadium, shea stadium will become citi field when the new park opens in 2009, comisky park was gone in the early 90s, the astrodome closed in 99. i understand the need for money to pay for these colossal new parks, but if fenway park one day wasnt called fenway park, or if yankee stadium wasnt called yankee stadium, i feel like we'd lose a lot of the classic baseball community that made baseball america's past time, not america's biggest corporate advertising league.
